Windows Email Configuration Tool
The CenturyLink™ Mail Configuration Tool will assist you in setting up the following clients:
Microsoft Outlook Express
Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Windows Mail
Qualcomm Eudora 5 and up
It will configure your incoming and outgoing server ports, as well as your inbox
From the
CenturyLink™ Homepage
select Internet Support, and look under
Tools, Set-Up and Installation Guides
There is a Drop down for
Outlook Setup
When selecting the drop down for the Outlook Setup it will pop a window asking you to download or run the application
Choose
Run
from the options
The application will confirm that you would like to
Run
the program.
Click on
Run
You will be given a choice for which application you want to configure
Choose the appropriate program, in this example we chose
Microsoft Outlook
Fill out the following fields with your information:
Your Name
Email address, this has to include the
"@centurylink.net"
Click on the
Configure
button, this will start the automated configuration on that application
Once the configuration is complete, you will have the option to
"Launch my email client immediately"
If this option is
checked
, and you hit Close it will launch the client.
If it is
unchecked
, you will manually have to launch the client
The application should launch and ask if you would like to make this email client your default client.
