OK, first a little explanation, as of patch 1.5, smithing can no longer be

easily power leveled, with out a ton of grinding.

There are two easy "Fixes" for the problem.

1) The first, which is actually the one that's more of a fix, is also the easiest.

It has one step. DELETE THE PATCH. Then continue with power leveling as you

did before.

-For those who do not know how to power smithing read on, if you do know

how, skip to the NOTE.

Quick guide....

- (Rich Way) Travel from town to town buying every bit of iron

ore and leather possible.

Then make iron daggers. Two hours later, you'll

be a level 100 in smithing. Maybe shorter!

- (Poor Way) Mine the ore, kill the animals for leather, (the

plains of whiterun are perfect for hunting.)

Make iron Daggers. Repeat. THIS WAY IS MUCH MUCH

SLOWER. But, its also much cheaper.

****************************************************************************************************************************

**********************************NOTE**************************************************************************************

*****************************************************************************************************************

Doing this causes two problems, any characters you had, that were made new

after the patch, or before it, will no longer be usable.

And two, you'll have to start a new game. BUT, for any new characters you were

planning on creating, this is totally worth it.

After you've reached level 100, simply save, and re-install the patch. For

Console users, this as simple as dashboarding, and reloading the game.

2) The second and more legitimate way, is to power level jewelry. This does not

require deleting the patch, and is ALMOST, (not quite)as fast.

Simply mine, buy, or make (using the transmute spell found in halted steam

camp) to obtain gold. And Then use the best gems you have to make the best

(most expensive) items you can! Gold diamond necklace for instance, will level

you up very quickly.

Another also legitimate way, is to make dwarven bows, they require the least

amount of material, and level you up very quickly.

So you decide, people, i deleted the patch and leveled up and reinstalled it,

my game works fine! So do what you will!

Enjoy!

©2012-05-07, IGN Entertainment, Inc. All Rights Reserved
