They have made lots of changes to this

years Career mode, giving you the opportunity to make several changes to your

fighter. Infact you can change almost everything about your fighter. You can

start your career as a POWER BOXER and end up with a whole army of Submission

masters. You could build REP with Camps to learn special moves, or you never

go to a camp and learn almost any move you want. So you see, you don’t need a

walkthrough with detailed explainations of every aspect of the career mode, you

only need a few tips.

<p="MsoNormal">

<p="MsoNormal">                                                       DIFFERENCES

<p="MsoNormal">

            I want you know (if you don’t already ) a few

things about how this games career mode is different then the past UFC games.

In this game your not really making one fighter, instead your making a blue

print for other fighters you want to create. And if your like most players you

want to make a SUPER CAF (Create-A-Fighter), with all of his stats and skills

maxed out. You probably want to Submit players in the first minute or knock

them out with one punch. If that’s your bag, then your not going to be able to

make a MAXED out fighter in Career mode. But instead you can make a great

fighter and then BUY a BOOST pack online to pad up your stats. I don’t play

online, so I don’t give a crap about a SUPER CAF. But I can make a Fighter whos

ranked higher then Anderson Silva, GSP, Jose Aldo and Johnny “BONES’ Jones, and

that’s fine with me.

<p="MsoNormal">

                                            TIPS FOR CAREER

MODE

<p="MsoNormal">

            Here are all the tips I found and used inorder

to make 3 different fighters, each in a different weight class with a Rating

of 94-97, which is higher then the Games Highest Rated Fighter ANDERSON SILVA

whos at 92.

<p="MsoNormal">

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      When

you first start career mode you have to set up your fighter. Name, Hair, Face……blah

blah blah. The only thing that’s important here is weight class. Choose the

class you want your fighter to be wisely. Now you will be giving the

opportunity to fight in a weight class one class higher or lower then your

starting class. Then later you can move your fighter to that new class if you

want. But don’t think you can make a Lightweight and then change him to a

Heavyweight, sorry doesn’t work that way.

<p="MsoNormal">

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      Next

you will need to choose your FIGHTING STYLE and Difficulty level.

The style you choose will start

you off with basic punching and kicking plus 3 specialty moves that are only

available at the beginning with that style. Boxers have uppercuts, Wrestlers

have slams, Sambo has leg locks……etc. You will not be stuck with that style

forever. You can choose Boxing and then later go Ju-Jitsu, if that’s what you

want. That’s exactly what I did.

     Second, unlike past UFC

GAMES, you don’t get any extra bonus for choosing a more difficulty level

setting. Its just harder to do. That’s it. I got a Rating of 94 on Expert and a

Rating of 97 on Experienced. So choose the easier level. On Experienced

setting you should be able to complete Career mode in less then 24 hrs. I did

it 20hrs and im an descent player. Plus by going an easier level you don’t have

to worry about building up certain skills first on your fighter. I.E

Submission Defense or Takedown Def., you can just level up in any order you

wish.

<p="MsoNormal">

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      Before

you start your first match, don’t forget to put your Sponsors on your gear.

Maybe your shirt or shorts. You will start with only 2. Then, when the game

tells you that you have more sponsors just also add them to your gear. You can

have up to 10 at one time. Don’t worry you don’t have to load up all your gear.

Just one logo per sponsor. I suggest you un-contract some of your lower level

sponsors about halfway throu the game once you get some TOP sponsors. Even if

your low end sponsors are level 3 and giving you 60 points of cred per match, I

would always replace with a higher end sponsor who give 50 cred at a level one.

Those Top sponsors will hit a higher level later and be worth 1000’s. We want

that Cred. Its not the most important thing but it’s the second most important.

Now at first you will automatically get a sponsors logos once you sign a

contract with them. But the TOP SPONSORS will make you buy their logo.

AFFLICTION and TAPOUT are two examples. But you only need to buy one of each.

<p="MsoNormal"="'margin-left:.5in'">

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      Im

going to assume you are playing on a easy level like Experienced. Because of

this you should always pick the fight that offers you the most CRED and the

most ACTIONS. At first all you fights will only offer 1 action so just go after

the fighter offering the most CRED. We need that cred to later to upgrade

Training partners, upgrade Training Gear and buy Top sponsor Logos.

<p="MsoNormal">

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      Now

im gonna assume you have started a fighter in the weight class you want

on the Experienced setting and

have your first two sponsors on atleast one piece of gear. (everything else

can be changed later so don’t worry about his hair or tats or name , enless you

want to) You are going to play this career mode only worrying about 3 things:

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      Only

pick fights with 2 ACTIONS before them. Never pick a fight with only 1 ACTION

,if a fight with 2 ACTIONS is available. I don’t care how much extra CRED is

available. You only get 48 fights, and you need as many ACTIONS as possible.

ACTIONS are what level up your Attributes and Skills which determines if your

fighter is OK, Good , or Great. Plus you will get more then enough CRED by the

end of your career. I average 200,000 extra cred that I didn’t even need at the

end of each of my careers. Trust me, ACTION’s over Cred , always.

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      During

each ACTION you will have to play a MINI GAME inorder to points for your

ATTRIBUTE and SKILLS. While you scroll down the list of games to play you will

see on the right the pros and cons for that game. The green numbers show the increase

in points and the Red show the decrease in points. Don’t forget to hit the RB

and LB buttons on your controller (xbox) to scroll the other catergory’s of

Offense and defense. At first you will see no red numbers but trust me there

will be there later. Now for the first 30-35 fights don’t worry about what type

of MINI GAME you play, only choose the one that gives you the most points. Yes,

you will have to do some math. And don’t worry, later you can move those points

to where ever you want. But first just get as many points as possible. Once you

got most or all your skills in the mid 80’s, then start to plan out what you

want. 90’s are the best points. After about 30-35 fights you should start

focusing on maxing out your ATTRIBUTES and getting as may skills as you can to

100. No matter what Skill those points are in. I can easily get 100 in

TAKEDOWNS offense. But I don’t use TAKEDOWNS. I like to Slam from the Clinch.

SO once my fighter is retired, I just move those points to Clinch or

Submissions. My fighter might Retire with only 64 points in STANDING STRIKES

and 71 points in SUBMISSIONS. But I just moves some points around later and

BAMM , my guy now has 90 in standing Striking and 100 in submission. If done

right theres no reason why you cant have atleast on skill at 100 and half at 90

with the lowest being 85. And with 3 of your 4 Attributes Maxed.

                                       Rookie Tip- if you

don’t get atleast 3 stars on your mini game

                              and want to try ago just

restart your game console at the end of the

                              mini game. I will admit I

using do it atleast once. And pay

attention to each Attributes limits. SO DON’T CHANGE

HIS WEIGHT CLASS to something you didn’t already fight with him in.

<p="MsoNormal">

="'font:7.0pt" "Times New Roman"'>      When

you add your fighters moves you also get to add or change his

Style. Depending on what style

you choose, your fighter will get some moves that cant be erased from his moves

list. Now you don’t have to use them, you can erase the points associated with

that move but you see that the move didn’t go away and you cant replace it. So

you might not want to use the Style you thought you wanted. It really doesn’t

matter though. Example all fighters are Submission machines but none of them

are ju-jitsu base styles. You can still do all the moves.

<p="MsoNormal">

I hoped this helped you with your career mode. Shoot, I hope

this even gets posted. But now that you know how to run through career mode

and then move all your points around, in theory you can make just a few

fighters and then copy them a bunch of times to make a whole army of fighters.

©2012-07-10, IGN Entertainment, Inc.
