The system requirements for running the CenturyLink Toolbar are:
Microsoft Windows (2000, XP or Vista)
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or greater

Why do some users get an ActiveX error message when trying to install the CenturyLink Toolbar?
Your Internet security settings might be on High. This setting will prevent ActiveX controls from running.
To install the CenturyLink Toolbar, you must have ActiveX controls enabled. To do this, follow these simple steps:
From your browser, select Tools > Internet Options
Click on the Security Tab
Click on the Internet icon in the window
Change security setting to Medium
Click OK

Why did the installation of the CenturyLink Toolbar fail while using Windows NT or 2000?
If the user is running Windows NT or Windows 2000, he has to check with his system administrator that he has the administrative privileges required to install applications.
How will I know if a new version of the CenturyLink Toolbar is available?
The CenturyLink Toolbar has an auto-update system. Users are notified when an update is made to the toolbar's DLL. To ensure a flawless update, a warning is issued if more than one instance of Internet Explorer is opened.
The CenturyLink Toolbar is installed but it does not appear in the browser. If I right-click on the Internet Explorer menu, the toolbar is in the list but is grayed out.

You may remove the toolbar at anytime. Use "Add or Remove Programs" from Windows Control Panel to remove the CenturyLink Toolbar.
Is there any adware or spyware in the CenturyLink Toolbar that I should be aware of?
The CenturyLink Toolbar application does not contain any adware or spyware. We do not collect or store any private data through the toolbar.
Is it possible to change the location of the CenturyLink Toolbar in Internet Explorer?
From your browser, make sure that "Lock the toolbars" on "View > Toolbars" is not checked. Once the toolbar is unlocked, you can move the CenturyLink Toolbar by grabbing it with the mouse and moving it.
